Members Out and About the Tri-Valley

Jordan Bernal, Paula Chinick, Mary Heaton, and Elaine Schmitz took readers on a journey around the world without ever leaving the Tri-Valley at a Bay Books Author Event on Friday, November 6, 2015. Desserts from exotic locales such as China, Greece, and Ireland were on the menu as listeners heard excerpts from their latest novels.

AnnetteLangerAnnette Langer gave a talk to a group called “Words in Bloom” on November 17, 2015. The group is small, with about ten fledgling writers from the Pleasanton Senior Center. Annette spoke about her journey to publication and about Tri-Valley Writers.

J. Mills  recently attended the Marine Recreation Association’s (MRA) 44th Annual Educational Conference and Trade Show in Santa Barbara, California. His freelance photojournalism assignment for the MRA included writing eight press releases for the international marine industry and general business media, and a feature article with photos covering the conference and trade show to be published in the MRA’s Annual Trade Journal.

sondra perryOn October 3, 2015, Sondra Perry had the pleasure of participating in the Wild Birds Unlimited Special Open House. At the booth next to Sondra sat  Joan Morris, Wild Life Columnist for the San Ramon Valley Times. Sondra shared stories about Henry from her children’s novel, Henry our Great Blue Heron.
