Sept 20, 2014: Essential Elements of Bestselling Crime Fiction

Sheldon Siegel will help us kick off the new 2014-2015 season as the guest speaker for the California Writers Club Tri-Valley Branch on Saturday, Sept 20. 

Sheldon Siegel is the New York Times best-selling author of seven critically acclaimed legal thrillers featuring San Francisco criminal defense attorneys Mike Daley and Rosie Fernandez, two of the most beloved characters in contemporary crime fiction. He is also the author of the thriller The Terrorist Next Door featuring Chicago homicide detectives David Gold and A.C. Battle.

Sheldon earned his law degree from the Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California, Berkeley. He specializes in corporate and securities law with the San Francisco office of the international law firm of Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP. He is the President of the Northern California chapter of the Mystery Writers of America, an active member of the International Thriller Writers and Sisters in Crime and CWC Marin Branch member. As a native of Chicago, when he is not writing he is either watching or attending a Chicago Bears, White Sox, Bulls or Blackhawks game.

The CWC Tri-Valley Branch invites writers of all genres and experience levels to learn about their craft at its monthly meetings. The meeting will be Saturday, Sept 20, 2014, 2:00-4:00 p.m. (registration at 1:30).The cost for CWC Members is $12, nonmembers, $17. Anyone interested in the program or the organization may attend with no obligation to join.
