
A native Californian, Kim Castle holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from California State Polytechnic University in San Luis Obispo and is currently completing her graduate degree in creative writing at the University of Southern Maine.
Early in her career, she worked as a radio news reporter and a TV news reporter and producer at an NBC affiliate. She received awards for her specials on the environment, health, and underserved people and communities.
For the last twenty years, she has written for senior-level corporate executives, with many of her articles featured in industry and business magazines such as Forbes, Fortune, PC Magazine, and Logistics Quarterly.
Several publications have featured Kim’s short stories, such as “Mt. Pinos Murders,” which appeared in Onyx Publications, The Yard: Crime Blog published her mystery short story, “Parfum,” and Connections magazine published her art and article, “Step Up the Staircase.”
She is an active member of Mystery Writers of America, Sisters in Crime and the California Writers Club. As a lifelong fan of detective and mystery books, her greatest passion is writing a great mystery story. Kim has two beagles, Sophie and Valentina who help her sniff out new scary stories to write.
