Sherry Smith Wins 3rd Place in Haiku Festival

Sherry Smith won a 3rd place and an Honorable Mention for two haiku poems in the recent Ukiah Haiku Festival. She has a different haiku forthcoming in Mariposa. Her poem, “Red Boat,” won an Honorable Mention in the Rhymed and Metered category of the California Federation of Chaparral Poets annual contest.

Stacey Gustafson Published

Stacey Gustafson had two articles published in the Tri-Valley Herald and Contra Costa Times. Her cookbook review, “Small plates deliver big flavor,” was published on May 13. Also, her April Fool’s story was included as part of the “April Fool’s Prank” article on March 30.

LaDonna Fehlberg Published

This is the fifth year LaDonna Fehlberg has had works published in the Los Positas College Anthology. This year the poems “Talisman Rose,” “House Reminiscing,” “Montana Traveler” and photographs “If” and “Window” appear in the publication.
