Tri-Valley Writers Conference 2019

Conference

The Tri-Valley Writers 2019 Conference held Saturday, April 13, 2019, was a full day event on the art and business of writing. It featured three tracks: Craft, Marketing, & Self-Publishing and New York Times, Wall Street Journal and Amazon best-selling author Robert Dugoni as the keynote speaker. Dugoni is the winner of the 2015 Nancy Pearl Award for fiction. He has twice been a finalist for the Harper Lee Award for Legal Fiction, twice been a finalist of the Silver Falchion Award for his mysteries, was a 2015 and 2017 International Thriller Writer’s finalist for thriller of the year, and a 2017 Mystery Writers of American Edgar Finalist. His books are sold worldwide in 30 countries and have been translated into a dozen languages.

Dugoni gave a heartfelt, inspiring talk about “My Stroke of Good Luck.”  After an unexpected challenge, he discovered that life is about much more than physical possessions or writing decent books. He learned to write from his heart, not his head. To engage with his readers via empathy with his characters. He listened to his characters, told their stories, and found the magic. Now he writes each book as though it’s his last—he tells the story only he can tell.

See the detailed schedule at the sidebar on the right. The lineup included: best-selling authors, marketing, business, and website experts, and innovators in publishing. Also see the complete list of speakers on the right sidebar.

Thanks so much for everyone who participated to make it such a wonderful and successful event!
