This spring Tri-Valley Writers sponsored a scholarship at Las Positas College. On May 17, 2017, Suzannah Collins was awarded the Tri-Valley Writers Scholarship at a ceremony held at the college. Suzannah is studying to be a translator. She says, “I’m fascinated with the origin of words and love to read and write. A career in translation fits with my goals to travel, be financially independent, and have a flexible work schedule. Later I plan to transfer to a four-year state college where I will continue learning Spanish, then Mandarin.” Congratulations to Suzannah! We wish her well in her studies.
