Michael Ganzberger

Michael Ganzberger was born in Detroit. He’s been a resident of the bay area for over 45 years. Michael’s a retired computer scientist, having worked at LLNL for 30 years. Prior to that, he served five years as an avionics tech in the US Navy. He has an AA in Japanese language & culture and both a BS and MS in Computer Science. Along the way, his life has taken some unusual twists and turns. Michael was a volunteer probation officer in the Detroit area, holds a black belt in Korean martial arts, taught college English in Kobe Japan, and worked as a volunteer language translator for the Red Cross in Northern Honshu Japan. His passion, when not reading, writing, gardening, or doing home repair, is playing golf—he’s hopelessly addicted.

Michael has two children—both now in their 30’s—and a wonderful, supporting life partner.

He enjoyed creative writing in college and always wanted to test his ability to write something substantial. So far, he’s been encouraged by the results and plans to continue.
